OVERVIEW:

Traditions of America - a national leader of 55+ lifestyle communities seeks an Architect to work on residential and commercial projects. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth organization with a long track record of performance and financial stability. The position is in our office located in Berwyn, PA. Candidates must have the ability to stamp/seal plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Analyzing building codes, space and site requirements to determine their effect on architectural designs and updating current plans accordingly
• Coordinating structural and mechanical designs with outside Engineers
• Drawing and maintaining detailed plans for all house types. This includes: construction details, construction notes, cross sections, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
• Creation of new home plans and elevations to meet the market demands for both current and future projects
• Creation of new amenity plans including clubhouses and ancillary structures
• Coordinating with estimating and purchasing for custom home plans

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and the ability to stamp / seal plans.

SKILLS:

• Proficient/excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• High levels of creativity, imagination, and vision.
• A keen interest in the building environment and the dedication to see projects to their conclusion.
• Excellent design and drafting skills and proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD).
• Organizational, project management and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work well within a team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Architect: 8+ years (Required)
• Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and the ability to stamp / seal plans. (Required)
