Assistant Controller Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration

Technical Skills:

• Experience with ADP payroll processing
• Familiarity with quarterly and annual payroll tax filings

Microsoft Excel:

• Proficiency in excel including pivot tables, data analysis and VBA programming
• Ability to create and manage spreadsheets for financial and analysis and reporting

Microsoft Word:

• Basic formatting, mail merge and correspondence

Cost Accounting:

• Understanding cost accounting principles and practices

General Accounting Skills:

• Knowledge of general accepting accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, fixed assets, general ledger and financial statement preparation

Attention to Detail:

• Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Outside Reporting:

• File annual property tax statements, quarterly sales and use tax statements and various other governmental reports

Software Proficiency:

• QuickBooks

Misc.:

• Perform Human Resouces duties
• Support accounting functions for Mutiple entities

Experience:

• 10 years' relevant accounting experience in a supervisory role
