Job Description
Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology are looking for a full-time Assistant Director of Music.
The Assistant Director of Music will accompany services during the week and Sunday on the organ or piano, rehearse and coach cantors, accompany Choral Rehearsals, and can have the opportunity to accept additional responsibilities such as conducting, singing, programming, composing, teaching, and solo performance. Saint Meinrad possesses pipe organs by Goulding & Wood and Gabriel Kney, a microtonal digital organ, and two pianos.
Our ideal candidate would be a strong organist and accompanist with at least a Bachelor of Music in organ or a related field. A Master of Music and conducting experience is preferred.
This role’s obligations are confined to the academic year – no Christmas, Easter, or summer requirement. The anticipated start date is June of 2026.
