Job Description

Job Title : Associate Physician Recruiter

Job Summary : Assist physician recruiters with candidate sourcing and business development.

Current Major Responsibilities : Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

Develop substantive knowledge base regarding neurosurgery, neurosurgical employment structure and compensation.

  • Research and qualify prospective candidates and develop both broad and targeted contact lists appropriate to each search. Contact candidates on behalf of recruiters in instances where that makes sense.
  • Work closely with physician recruiters to help source candidates for a particular search. Review potential candidates for a position and rank according to the criteria of the hiring manager. Strategize with search manager and develop a plan for contacting the candidates (either on behalf of recruiter or directly). Determine which candidates will be contacted by the recruiter and which ones will be contacted by the Associate Recruiter. Reach out to those candidates by email, phone and notecard.
  • Research, select, interview and qualify prospective candidates and develop both broad and targeted contact lists appropriate to each search.
  • Contact prospective candidates on an individual basis or on behalf of recruiter depending on existing relationships and what makes sense; follow-up on any appropriate leads and responses to mass mailings; update database information as prospective candidates provide.
  • Conduct telephone interviews with prospective candidates to determine if the candidate has professional or personal problems that may interfere with recruitment.
  • Research potential business development leads. Qualify the leads and discuss the situation with the appropriate recruiter for follow up. Reach out to business development leads on behalf of recruiters.
  • Write candidate and client descriptions.
  • Assist Database and Marketing Manager with projects as needed.

Relationships : Reports to Associate Recruiter Manager

Qualifications :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent diplomatic skills.
  • Adept at learning about an industry and using good judgment to determine whether candidates are viable.
  • Enthusiasm and a cooperative, team-spirited nature!
  • Excellent time-management skills
