The Barista Lead Worker oversees the operations of their designated Peet?s Coffee Shop, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Peet?s Coffee standards, Health and Safety Department standards and the policies set forth by Aramark and Boeing.

Long Description

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $23.50 to $23.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee/demonstrate proper drink/food preparation, including quality control while adhering to established standards
• Oversee/demonstrate proper opening/closing procedures and checklists of Coffee Shop
• Demonstrate exemplary knowledge of temperature and food safety regulations and product knowledge
• Maintain daily/weekly logs: refrigeration/freezer temperature, thermometer calibration, hot holding, sanitizer, and pest control
• Pull food which does not meet quality standards or has not been held at proper holding temperature
• Alert management immediately of any malfunction of equipment or plumbing issue or safety hazards
• Complete accurate monthly inventory and weekly food/beverage orders
• Ask customers about the quality of their service and handle any complaints with assistance from the manager on duty while maintaining a positive attitude
• Assist with weekly Safety Observation survey
• Ensure that all work areas remain thoroughly clean, sanitized, and stocked
• Train new employees to understand accurate food and beverage preparation and quality standards, use of all equipment, cleaning expectations and safety standards
• Cross-train in other areas as required by your manager
• Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team

Qualifications

• Able to follow detailed written and verbal directions.
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended time periods, up to 6 hours.
• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to sustain repetitive motion.
• Ability to read and understand labels/directions involving chemicals and heating equipment.
