Want to work in a fun and unique work environment? Redwine & Co. is seeking an experienced bartender to join our team. This role is for somebody who is familiar working in a neighborhood focused bar and will be a self starter who takes initiative, with the availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts a week. Saturday and Sunday availability is a must. You must be comfortable and experienced running a bar as the only bartender on shift - as this does happen at varying times. This will be a mix of day, evening and weekend shifts. We will strive to have a set schedule for this role, but flexibility is needed in order to cover vacations of staff.

To be considered for this role, You must have a thorough understanding of Ohio liquor laws, be dependable, and be a team player.

Pay starts at $5.35 per hour (plus tips). Tips average $150 minimum for day shifts and are $250 minimum for weekend shifts, often significantly higher.

About Us:

We are a family owned and operated bar that has been in operation since 2017, and is located in the heart of the Reading Bridal District. We have 16 beers on tab and offer a variety of simple craft cocktails. Our food service is providing by our on-site food truck. For evening and weekend shifts, the bar staff is supported by a food runner, who serves as an expo and bar back.

We’e recently completed massive upgrades to our patio and event space, and that means our team is growing as we prepare for a very busy season! We are always closed Mondays so we can ensure our staff has a day of rest. The kitchen closes at 10P and 9P on Sundays and the bar closes at varying hours, based on business decline, with the minimum being 11 PM on Weekdays and 1 AM Thursday-Saturday. Additionally, we are always closed on the following holidays: Mother's Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve + Christmas Day.

The job description includes but is not limited to the following:

• Bar setup
• Ability to command a bar on your own
• Provide excellent customer service to guest
• Ensure knowledge of restaurant's food, drinks and concept
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Enters drink orders into the cash register, collects payment from patrons for drinks served, and makes correct change.
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders
• Communicate regularly with customers and anticipate their needs
• Ensure the bar is well-stocked at all time
• Delivery food orders when a food runner is not on staff
• Following sanitation and food safety guidelines at all times
• Prepare drinks based on our bar specific recipes
• Barware dishes, Stocking, Cleaning, Opening and closing procedures

Requirements & Skills:

• Must be 21 years old
• Ideally you're able to work a flexible schedule; including day and weekends
• Individual must be a self-starter and able to self-direct
• Prior bartending required; preferred experience in a neighborhood bar
• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner
• Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must possess a thorough understanding of Ohio liquor laws
• Able to follow instructions for recipes, sanitation guidelines and food safety guidelines
• Prior serving experience preferred
• Prior experience with Keno preferred
• Industry References will be required

Requirements, Physical Skills & Training:

• Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day or longer
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be able to crouch, sit, and stand with full mobility
• Exposure to moderate to high environmental noise levels during busy times
