Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse- Behavioral Health to provide full-time care to the U.S. military and their families at Kirtland Air Force Base located in Albuquerque, NM.
Employment Status: Full-time
Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Eight (8) hour shifts or forty (40) hours per week, between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Requirements: The Registered Nurse (RN) -Behavioral Health must have and meet the following:
Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent RN degree
Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by ACEN, CCNE, or NLNAC
Experience: At least 36 months of total nursing experience as an RN in a direct patient care clinical setting. Experience providing services in psychiatric nursing or behavioral health and wellness counseling for 24 recent consecutive months
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or the Red Cross. Web-based classes do not meet these standards.
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse from any U.S. state/territory.
Additionally, certified/certified eligible by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental health Nurse with 2 years of full-time experience in mental health.
Job Summary:
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness
Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice by all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Perform physical exams and health histories.
Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
Perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
