We are seeking a skilled Buffer who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the surfaces of RVs, Motorhomes, and Charter Busses in a production environment. The role involves buffing, painting, and climbing ladders to ensure high-quality finishes. A key requirement for this position is the ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Responsibilities

• Buff and paint RVs, Motorhomes, and Charter Busses, ensuring surfaces are smooth and free of defects.
• Read and interpret measurements with a tape measure.
• Wipe down the front end of vehicles and inspect for areas needing sanding or buffing.
• Apply protective wax or other paint sealants to vehicle surfaces.
• Inspect surfaces for noticeable defects and apply necessary touch-ups.
• Operate rotary or orbital buffers to remove scratches and swirl marks.
• Identify and address any paint repairs needed.
• Install 3M film on vehicles.
• Mix paint for daily production needs.
• Prepare paint touch-up kits as required.
• Remove paper, tape, and plastic from units after inspection and approval.
• Place touch-up paint kits in the units.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience with general labor and production tasks.
• Capability to perform physical work, including climbing ladders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 6 months of previous manufacturing experience.
• Good cultural fit within the team.

Work Environment

Work in a production environment on the 1st shift from 6am to 2pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves physical work, including climbing ladders, and requires the use of various tools and equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charles City, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
