full-time Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated and collegial team in Easton, Maryland. In this role, you'll work alongside a skilled group of cardiologists and hospitalists to deliver exceptional inpatient cardiovascular care in a supportive, patient-centered setting.

Job Description Clinical Highlights: - Outpatient cardiology-focused role within a regional medical center
- Collaborate with cardiologists, interventionalists, and APP team
- Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic cardiac conditions
- Demonstrates competence in clinical assessment and decision -making including diagnostic reasoning and problem solving.
- Performs comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients in practice setting.
- Orders, obtains and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Establishes medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings.
- Designs, orders and documents appropriate treatment plans/plans of care including prescriptions of medications based on a comprehensive review of HPI and diagnostic results.
- Initiates protocols/clinical pathways, evaluates the plan of care ensuring timely intervention.
- Incorporates the patient and family in their healthcare plan; communicates plan of care with the patients and family members. Provides patient and family instruction related to the plan of care, disease process, new treatment plans, and medication regimens.
- Counsels and educates patients and family members in disease process, health maintenance and health promotion activities. Provides primary, secondary, and tertiary preventive care services.

Qualifications - Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
- Possesses and maintains current Board Certification of Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology or Acute Care certified preferred
- Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
- Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
- Experience in cardiology, ICU, or inpatient hospitalist settings strongly preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team-based care skills

Compensation:
- Pay Range: $104,416.00 - $144,102 (Compensation is determined based on years of experience as an advanced practice provider).
