Job Title: Certified Nail Technician / Medical Assistant (Full-Time Hybrid Role)

Location: Manhattan (Midtown)

Gotham Footcare is a top-rated podiatry practice in New York City, known for combining advanced medical care with aesthetic excellence. We are expanding our services to include  medical-grade pedicures and are looking for a talented professional to lead this offering.

Position Summary

We are hiring a  Certified Nail Technician with  at least 3 years of professional pedicure experience to provide  medical-grade pedicures in a clinical setting. This is a  full-time hybrid role , where the primary focus will be on performing pedicures, and secondary responsibilities will include assisting the clinical team as a  Medical Assistant when not booked with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Primary — As a Nail Technician:

• Perform  medical-grade pedicures with a focus on hygiene, comfort, and aesthetic care
• Follow  strict sterilization and infection control protocols
• Identify and report any concerning nail or skin conditions to the clinical team
• Maintain a clean, professional workspace and ensure patient satisfaction
• Educate patients on foot hygiene and post-care practices

Secondary — As a Medical Assistant:

• Assist physicians with patient intake and basic clinical duties
• Set up and sanitize treatment rooms
• Support with EMR documentation and clinical prep (training provided if needed)
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth patient flow throughout the day

Requirements

• Certified Nail Technician License in New York (required)
• Minimum 3 years of professional pedicure experience in a spa, salon, or medical setting
• Strong understanding of foot and nail hygiene best practices
• Willingness to assist in a clinical setting and learn medical assistant responsibilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional, clean, and compassionate demeanor
• Interest in being part of a growing aesthetic and medical wellness team
