Position: Civil Water/Wastewater Engineer - Project Manager
Job Status: Exempt-salaried
Location: Missoula, MT

In the role of Project Manager , you will oversee the planning, design, permitting, and construction management of civil engineering projects related to water and wastewater infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating plans, specifications, cost estimates, and budgets for municipal and industrial water and wastewater facilities.
• Employing engineering design software to produce plans, drawings, and models in line with project requirements.
• Leading engineering design projects from inception to completion.
• Conducting meetings with client board members and delivering monthly updates on project progress.
• Monitoring construction activities and providing on-site support and oversight.
• Handling construction administration duties, including reviewing submittals and RFIs, assessing progress payments, and ensuring compliance.
• Evaluating water/wastewater facilities for adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, and suggesting improvements.
• Interacting with community members, government representatives, and stakeholders to communicate project objectives and gather feedback.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering (or a comparable ABET-accredited program)
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design and construction; experience in water/wastewater projects is preferred
• Experience in managing tasks or projects
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is required
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred or must be obtained post-hire
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
• Proficiency in engineering design software, such as Civil 3D
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software
• Understanding of engineering planning studies
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
