Truck Delivery Driver
We are seeking Truck Delivery Drivers to join our Transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, reliable, and have experience operating a box truck. This role is responsible for all aspects of picking up and delivering groceries and food items to our customers, including loading, unloading, delivery, and driving. You will also serve as the truck lead with a Helper riding in the passenger seat.
Location: Chicago, IL 60632
Schedule: 5:00 AM start time, 8–9 hour shifts
Pay Rate: $20/hr plus overtime
Duties:
- Safely operate a non-CDL Class C delivery truck to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing inquiries and concerns as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading processes
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating a delivery truck or in a driver-sales role
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift, load, and unload products as required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
