NSC Staffing has immediate Machine Set-up opportunities in Pewaukee, WI!

Shift: 2nd shift 
Pay: $24-30/hour based on experience 
Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, check routine programs, operate, and adjust automatic or semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard or repetitive operations within close tolerances and finish requirements.
• Identify appropriate tooling and fixture applications, and work with proven program formats.
• Follow detailed part drawings and specifications regarding applications, coding, arrangements, and settings.
• Note and report any variations from specifications.
• Assist, under supervision, with program prove-outs for new work or critical variations.
• Recommend tooling arrangements, fixtures, and operation sequences when necessary.
• Complete setups and provide guidance to Machine Operators with less experience on established programs.
• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a mill-turn machine.
• Previous setup experience on a mill-turn machine is required.
• Programming experience is a plus but not required.
• General knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, machine operation, and tooling (typically acquired through 2+ years of experience or equivalent training).
• Proficiency with standard office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Strong math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle tools/controls, and reach with arms.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to stand or walk on concrete for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must have close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
