Overview: At Kindthread, we’re seeking a hands-on, results-driven Technical Leader to guide the technology strategy and execution for our growing eCommerce, wholesale, and retail operations. This role bridges business strategy with technology, working closely with senior leadership to ensure systems and tools align with our growth objectives and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Core Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Leadership Lead the development and execution of Kindthread’s technology strategy across eCommerce, wholesale, and retail operations. Manage and scale a cross-functional engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Ensure systems architecture is scalable, secure, and high-performing, particularly integrating eCommerce with retail operations. Stay hands-on with engineering, providing technical guidance and optimizing processes for improved efficiency. Lead technology change management and drive improvements in system architecture. Internal Systems & Data Optimize internal systems for seamless operation across business units, ensuring consistency and reliability in data flow. Lead the implementation of data management and analytics tools to empower data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with business units to define KPIs and use data insights to optimize customer experience and product offerings. Technology & Compliance Design and enforce cybersecurity policies to safeguard sensitive data and maintain system integrity. Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP of Engineering) with hands-on coding and troubleshooting experience. Expertise in software architecture, eCommerce platforms, and integrating them with retail operations. Strong problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical issues. Experience leading and scaling engineering teams in both small and large company environments. Knowledge of data management, business intelligence, and analytics tools. Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution. Experience with technology change management in fast-paced environments. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, especially in eCommerce or multi-channel retail environments. Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus. Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 base salary.
