Director of Quality - Concrete

Location: Arlington, VA 5x/week – local travel around Virginia for on-site construction visits

Duration: Direct Hire - Permanent

Salary Range: $200-280k depending on level of experience

Must Haves:

• 15+ years of experience with Concrete
• Extensive experience with structural construction practices and quality management processes
• Extensive experience working on vertical concrete and building high rises
• Solution-oriented mindset, working with the on-site teams as well as managing quality control processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic Region
• Structural concrete experience
• Demonstrated experience managing quality control programs, audits, and technical troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

• 80% of the role is problem-solving and working directly with the team to find inconsistencies and how to provide a solution, pre-concrete bidding, etc.
• Attend meetings with execs and writing new programs
• Provides preconstruction, operational and regional support
• Manages regional QA/QC program standards
• Manages QC startup process and QC inspector team
• Performs monthly project audits and check -ins
• Manages pour card process regionally
• Manages/Works with project teams for QC-related situations
• Performs quality-related training support
• Develops best practices
• Develops and update OPS report library
• Participates in training and certifications
