Well established 105 year old electric motor repair facility, in Virginia, is seeking a skilled, motivated and qualified full time motor rewind technician as all as a motor mechanic/technician. Five years minimum experience is required. Must have knowledge of both 3 phase, single phase and DC as well as possess good mechanical skills. Candidates having welding and machine work experience would be beneficial. Candidate should also have some knowledge about submersible pumps. Skills should include ability to disassemble, inspect, reassemble and test electric motors. Must have an understanding of winding, insulation and electrical connections. Must be able to operate drill presses, grinders, hydraulic presses as well as the ability to operate overhead cranes, fork lift trucks and other equipment. Must have the ability to interpret technical manuals and follow repair procedures and maintain accurate records of service work, inspections and repairs.
