Description JOB SUMMARY: Firestone Walker Brewery is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team. This position requires expertise in industrial electrical systems, troubleshooting, and supporting the brewery's operations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with 480V 3-phase systems, 120V circuits, and possess a strong foundation in instrumentation and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480V 3-phase and 120V circuitry.
- Read and interpret single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical drawings.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment controls, including 12VDC systems and 4-20mA components.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control systems.
- Support PLC programming and troubleshooting and contribute to control panel design and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards in all tasks.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Manage and maintain all parts inventory related to electrical systems
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure all work performed on electrical panels is safely and properly executed and recorded
- Manage all other projects as assigned
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Proven experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or brewery setting.
- Proficiency with 480V 3-phase systems, 120V circuitry, and instrumentation/control systems.
- Knowledge of 12VDC systems and 4-20mA components.
- Familiarity with PLCs, control panel components, and basic design principles.
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of safety practices and electrical codes.
- Must be able to utilize lock out/tag out for machinery
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, prints, schematics, operating manuals, and repair manuals
- Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal training
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and precision
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
