Base pay range $170,000.00/yr - $195,000.00/yr In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach. Bloomberg is expanding its audio offerings and looking for an experienced podcast producer to work across the Bloomberg Podcasts slate. The Executive Producer will report into the Head of Podcasts and manage a team of producers on a portfolio of shows. The Executive Producer will serve as the managing editor providing hands-on day-to-day editorial and production guidance and direction in addition to working with the Head of Podcasts on bigger picture strategy for the portfolio. Responsibilities Oversee a team of producers working on a portfolio of shows providing direction on budget, creative, editorial, talent, production, staffing and new shows Work on various shows at once playing an active role in production as teams are shaped Manage producers who produce episodes day-to-day: provide notes and direction on episodes, talent, production (pre/post) and show ideas Manage and coach a group of hosts, and supporting staff on how to work with the hosts editorially and in the studio Advise on studio and production best practices and workflows Have a pulse on the biggest stories, moments and people in business and finance news Collaborate and lead with the wider Bloomberg Newsroom on podcast ideas, preparation, talent and development Work with the Head of Podcasts on expanding podcasts into video, events and subscriptions Develop strategies for distributing and marketing shows in collaboration with Marketing Work with legal and compliance to ensure shows comply with requirements Work with the Head of Podcasts to weigh in on the overall slate for Bloomberg Podcasts, reviewing and soliciting new pitches, developing new projects and existing content Work with the Head of Podcasts on various strategic initiatives within your portfolio of shows and on behalf of the full Podcast Team Skills And Experience Experience working in a newsroom environment or on projects with rigorous journalistic ethics Excellent business and finance news judgment Sharp editorial ear Experience with field, remote and in-studio production Demonstrated interest in covering business news Descript, Audition, Trello and Google Docs. Proficiency in editing software is required.
