Tax Preparer(Seasonal)

Established Tax Firm in Scottsdale, AZ

***Seasonal Position (September to Mid-May)***

Opportunity for part-time work in the summer

Requirements:

• On-Site
• EA or CPA License preferred
• Proficiency of Lacerte and intuit software
• Proven work experience as a tax preparer in the last 6 years.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Accurately prepare personal, business and trust tax returns.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Excellent references.

Responsibilities :

• Recording financial transactions accurately and efficiently using Lacerte software.
• Accurately prepare personal tax returns.
• Business and trust tax return preparation experience a plus.
• Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy of financial data.
• Assisting with payroll processing and tax filings.
• Communicating with clients to gather financial information and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Collaborating with team members to support overall tax preparation operations.
• Following established tax preparation principles and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Tax law knowledge and ability to perform research as needed.
