Job Description

Head Football Coach

Campbellsville University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Football Coach to lead and direct its football program. The Head Coach will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including operational budgets, player development, recruitment, game strategy, and team management.

Develop and implement a comprehensive football program that emphasizes player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Recruit high-quality student-athletes who can contribute to the success of the program.

Plan and execute daily practices, game preparation, and in-game strategy.

Manage the budget for the football program, including equipment, supplies, and travel.

Promote the football program and the university through public speaking engagements and media interviews.

Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes and ensure they are meeting eligibility requirements.

Work closely with the athletic department and university administration to ensure the football program aligns with the mission and values of Campbellsville University.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with alumni, boosters, and other stakeholders in the football program.

Oversee the physical and mental well-being of student-athletes and ensure they have access to necessary support services.

Manage the day to day fiscal responsibilities of the program.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.

A minimum of five years of coaching experience at the college or professional level.

Proven track record of developing successful football teams and player development.

Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire players.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively manage a budget and resources.

Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations.

Passion for football and commitment to player development and sportsmanship.
