Job Description

About the Position:
St. Thomas Aquinas is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Head Football Coach to join and help lead our football program. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and growth while helping student-athletes develop both on and off the mat.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all practices and games.
  • Instruct athletes in proper techniques, safety, and conditioning.
  • Promote academic achievement and character development among team members.
  • Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, equipment, and facilities.
  • Oversee assistant coaches and ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with athletes, parents, staff, and the broader school community.

Qualifications:

  • Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
  • Knowledge of football fundamentals, training methods, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
  • Must meet all coaching certification and background check requirements as set by the Diocese of Youngstown Office of Catholic Schools and the OHSAA.
  • Teaching positions may be available, depending on certification and school needs.

Compensation: Stipend per diocese contracted pay scale.
