We are currently looking for an energetic, focused and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support our team at our Landrum warehouse. The position assists the Inventory Manager in managing product and company resources; ensuring accurate inventory is held by the company, and those shipped to other locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory counts in all warehouses
  • Assist with asset management activities including data entry, and inventory
  • Verify and record the actual counts from warehouse personnel of equipment that has been picked or is returning to stock
  • Provide recommendations on how to make inventory control more efficient
  • Fill in as Inventory Control Manager as needed
  • Spot count when required
  • Work with warehouse personnel to cross check loads and create Bill of Materials for trucking purposes
  • Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Must pass background check and drug screening requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a warehouse, project management, or supply chain role preferably in events, distribution, construction or a related industry
  • General knowledge of inventory control and process
  • Demonstrate ability to function as a team player while also being able to act independently upon information
  • Possess the drive to grow and evolve within the company to take on higher level duties over time
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time well
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and while paying attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate and work closely with a diverse group of employees
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical skills with the various features of spreadsheet and basic software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of warehousing and trucking processes
  • While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls

Education Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university (business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field preferred) preferred

Work Environment

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
