Graphic Design/Labeling Consultant

Background: Our client is a large ophthalmology based medical device company and is looking for a Graphic Designer to help support the team. This consultant will be accountable for development and revisions of labeling and packaging artwork (including IFUs, Manuals, Cartons, and product identification labels) in support of Labeling and Package Engineering projects and collaborate with business partners to help define project requirements, product labeling specifications and verify content. This consultant will need to have Loftware experience within their background.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops Labeling and Package Engineering graphics, illustrations and layouts for new and existing products, including packaging components, product inserts & labels
• Assess proposed artwork packages, take appropriate actions to adhere to current standards, proof artwork and connect with project teams, ensuring electronic artwork meets clients graphic standards and release requirements.
• Produce a consistent visual design and create production-ready artwork
• Review software-generated labeling formats and ensure production validation activities are addressed before authorizing release for production use
• Participate in project team and third party vendor meetings to support the design of artwork, to meet requirements and minimize delays
• Review final artwork results and highlight potential problems to department and project team management regarding artwork releases
