THE JOB:

As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you'll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You'll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.

THE STARTING RATE: $20.7781

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Oversee shifts across multiple locations, including two Starbucks and the deli, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Deploy baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency.
  • Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system.
  • Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers.
  • Pull revenue reports at the start and end of shifts and ensure accurate input.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a coffee shop or fast-paced F&B setting. Experience as a "key holder" or similar role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage high-volume operations, and adept at handling guest interactions and complaints professionally.
  • Dependable, proactive, and adaptable with excellent communication skills. Able to navigate strong team dynamics and motivate staff.
