Infosys is seeking a Mainframe DB2 and IMS database administration Lead

In the role, you will perform all the activities of data base administrator which includes DB maintenance, Systems availability, and Data Security. You will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across various activities. . You will play an important role in creating the high-level quality deliverables. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Location for this position is Richardson, TX or willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in DB jobs monitoring, Backup and restore, table, Table space creations, performance, and logs monitoring
  • Role requires on-call production support.
  • Sub-Systems Consolidation/elimination
  • IMS, Db2 upgrade preparation and validation
  • Application Retirement and storage savings
  • Support Outages and production issues related to the DB
  • Monitor and review SQL queries.
  • Monitor database space requirements through automation
  • Monitor Health check and alerts in place for database objects availability
  • Manage automation of and for database recovery including DR exercises
  • Automation detecting and alerting on download of sensitive data
  • Create and give authority to Views restricting access to sensitive columns
  • Parse the System logs for unauthorized access to databases that contain sensitive data.
  • DB2 encryption change from EDITPROC to DS level WLN & WL (3Q)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skill.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
