Salary: $18+BOE

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Mechanic Shop Custodian. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the shop, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly stored and disposed of, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shop Cleaning: Ensure the mechanic shop is clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
• Organizing Parts: Properly store and organize parts and equipment within the shop.
• Waste Management: Ensure all scrap materials are disposed of in the scrap bin and all garbage is disposed of in the garbage bins.
• Pressure Washing: Use pressure washers to clean heavy-duty vehicles, semis, buggies, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Sweeping: Sweep the shop floor both inside and outside to ensure a clean working environment.
• Pallet Breakdown: When supplies arrive on pallets, break down the pallet and organize materials.
• General Shop Maintenance: Perform lifting and other duties to maintain the shops cleanliness and functionality.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License: Possess a valid drivers license and have a clean driving record is a plus but not required.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to organize the shop and supplies effectively is a plus but not required.
• Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a mechanical shop environment is a plus but not required.
