The Music Producer plays a crucial role in creating and overseeing musical content for various events and projects. With a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of Disney’s storytelling, this role will create unforgettable musical experiences for corporate and private events.
The Music Producer oversees the creation of music for shows, spectaculars, background music, and special events. The Music Producer is responsible for the creation and production of music for our Disney Meetings & Events business as well as special projects while monitoring the quality and quantity of work done by personnel, and consultants.
This is a Casual Temporary/Seasonal role and will report to the Disney Event Group Entertainment Creative Director.
Advise and consult with show directors, producers, production managers, and writers regarding music business/budget issues, creative concepts, and music for events, shows, video, and digital media production
Assemble the team that composes, arranges, and orchestrates music for events, shows, video, and digital media production
Direct and/or execute arrangements, produce, post-produce, and implement recordings for various types of projects
Oversee and possibly orchestrate music, deliver demos, and schedule recording sessions through post-production and implementation
Oversee and possibly conduct rehearsals and performances of selected live music for shows and special events
Build budgets for all assigned projects
Collaborate with others on decisions concerning new and existing music for live performance groups in our resorts and parks
Maintain an up-to-date music library and talent/industry contact database
7+ years of experience in the Entertainment Industry working in show development and operation of live shows
Strong understanding of Music Production, editing, composition, orchestration, conducting, rehearsal technique, and music library processes for live shows, recordings, and planning at the highest professional standards
Strong knowledge and understanding of Audio Technical and Sound Reinforcement, Business, and Entertainment Law
Knowledge in the areas of American Federation of Musicians labor agreements, music business contracts, music licensing, sound design/re-enforcement, and post-production processes
Strong understanding and experience in contract negotiations for consultants and ability to define scope and budget on assigned projects
Ability to work flexible hours - nights, weekends, and holidays
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Music or equivalent experience related to practical music skills
