Role Network Security

Location Jacksonville FL (Onsite from day -1)

Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure build and configure Firewall devices, manage, and troubleshoot Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls to ensure robust network security .
• Perform network security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor network performance and security logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure network solutions.
• Provide advanced technical support for network-related issues, including Routing & Switching (R&S) and Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Stay current with emerging network security threats and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance security posture.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues.
• Full understanding and operational knowledge of loop prevention protocols like spanning tree protocols;
• Full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of routing protocols like
  EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP including NAT;
• Full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of IOS/operating systems and CatOS;
• Full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of trunking protocols VTP, 8021.Q etc.
• Full understanding of firewalls & different deployment architecture;

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls.
