Job Summary/Description KFYR TV has a rare weekday evening anchor position open. Experience preferred. Salary range is very competitive, depending on experience. This position requires some reporting as well. Duties / Responsibilities Present stories calmly and clearly in a live capacity. Develop and produce relevant, enterprise, and breaking stories for multiple platforms. Be unscripted, engaging, and able to work well with others. Write broadcast and digital news stories that are professionally complete and compelling. Appear at promotional functions. Develop sources and operate news equipment in a safe, professional manner. Support news promotion and contribute regularly to news coverage. Qualifications / Requirements A winning mentality, with the ability to identify and “own” the day’s big stories. Can make quick decisions and handle breaking news calmly as a team leader. Must have multi‑media skills and experience moving stories through TV, website, mobile apps, social media, and connected TV. A bachelor’s degree (or higher) is preferred. Basic experience with cameras, ENPS, and editing on Grass Valley Edius is a plus. Leadership skills and exceptional news judgment. Professional knowledge of news operations.
