Company Overview:
Blueprint Creative Group is a fast-growing federal contractor delivering strategic communications, training and development, and program management services to government agencies. With a portfolio spanning Department of Defense and public health institutions, we combine mission-aligned strategy with creative execution to inform, engage, and impact.

Position Overview:

Blueprint seeks a Graphic Designer / Exhibit Manager to join our onsite team at the customer's site in DC. This unique role blends creative design with hands-on exhibit installation and management in one of the most iconic and secure environments in the world. You'll support the Army’s communication priorities through visually compelling campaigns and immersive exhibits that inform, inspire, and connect with both internal and external audiences.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong portfolio in visual communication design, experience in exhibit curation or experiential design, and a working knowledge of Army branding standards and messaging objectives. This role is critical in supporting DoD's mission to inform, engage, and inspire internal and external audiences through compelling, mission-aligned visual experiences.

Location: On-site, Washington, D.C.

Core Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

  • Design print and digital content: posters, infographics, banners, presentations, and branded collateral

  • Support Army strategic campaigns and leadership communications with visually aligned deliverables

  • Ensure adherence to Army branding guidelines, DoD standards, and Section 508 accessibility requirements

  • Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals for public and internal stakeholders

Exhibit Management

  • Plan, install, and maintain static and interactive exhibits at the Pentagon and Army facilities

  • Coordinate with Army historians and public affairs staff to reflect legacy and modernization themes

  • Oversee logistics for fabrication, materials, transport, setup, and maintenance

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure exhibits remain functional, engaging, and compliant with ADA standards

Project Coordination

  • Develop production timelines and exhibit layouts for review and approval

  • Serve as a liaison with vendors, Army teams, and contractors for design and installation activities

  • Balance short-turn design requests with long-term planning cycles

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design, with at least 2 years in exhibit design or visual environment planning.

  • Experience working in military, government, or large institutional environments strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).

  • Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, and typographic principles.

  • Knowledge of exhibit design principles, display fabrication processes, and ADA/Section 508 standards.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills; experience working with cross-functional teams.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Familiarity with DoD and Army visual branding policies and public affairs messaging objectives.

  • Experience managing exhibits in federal buildings or high-security environments.

  • Ability to draft layouts, scale models, and mockups for exhibit proposals and reviews.
