About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team in Erie, PA. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform as an industrial painter and blaster. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint coatings, and ensuring a high-quality finish. You will work with a variety of materials and equipment, including sandblasters, spray guns, and brushes. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will be crucial to the success of our manufacturing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in industrial painting or blasting
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 2- and 3-part coating systems
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, comply with all safety requirements and regulations including proper PPE
• Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
• Apply paint coatings using mainly Industrial pumps
• Apply correct coating system to correct substrate
• Ensure a high-quality finish by inspecting surfaces for defects and making necessary touch-ups
• Maintain equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Work at heights, confined spaces and awkward positions
• Great attendance is a must and the ability to work overtime, if needed, in order to meet deadlines

Skills:

As a Painter, you will use your knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment to prepare surfaces and apply coatings. Attention to detail and quality will be essential in achieving a high-quality finish. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines, and may operate heavy equipment such as forklifts. Strong communication and teamwork skills will be beneficial in this role. Pay is based on experience, and it is preferred but we will train highly motivated individuals.
