Pride Health is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Melrose, MA. This is a 13 week contract position and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to join our team in Melrose, MA. This is a temporary, part-time position that could potentially convert to a full-time role. As a Phlebotomist, you will perform blood draws in the hospital setting and assist with specimen processing. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws (40-50 per day) for hospital patients, mostly geriatrics.
• Assist with specimen processing and related tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and specimen collection.
• Follow all established safety and decontamination protocols.
• Provide excellent patient care, ensuring a comfortable and professional experience for all patients.
• Answer patient inquiries and communicate effectively with internal team members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus; familiarity with OBGYN is an additional asset.

Additional Information:

• Location: Melrose, MA - Must be able to travel between Melrose, MA and Medford, MA
• Job Type: 13 weeks Contract
• Shifts: 06:00 AM - 09:00, Mon – Fri (Holidays and every other weekend)
• Pay Range : $18-$20 Hourly

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
