The Opportunity

Seeking a talented Commercial Plumbing Equipment Sales individual. Under minimal direction, this plumbing outside sales role is responsible for the sale of commercial and industrial plumbing equipment and systems to wholesale distributors, contractors and owners. You will build and manage long term relationships with your customers, accounts, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibility
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service, support, and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in promoting Plumbing equipment and systems.
  • Address customer objectives needs and requirements.
  • Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the customer's system design and installation requirements.
  • Assist customers with system comparison and economic analysis.
  • Effectively write, present, and communicate proposals.
  • Manage multiple projects, proposals, and proactive sales on an ongoing basis.
  • Build partnering relationships with customers and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the MPN sales team, inside sales supports staff and all other team members.
  • Assist in the professional and technical development of the sales team and staff.
  • Keep management informed of sales progress and account status.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction.
The Required Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree and / or related experience in technical sales, project management/estimating, wholesale distribution, construction management or contracting. Technical degree preferred but not required.
  • Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical Contracting, Engineering or Construction industry experience
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, deal with ambiguity and manage high volume projects.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
