Job Description

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their team. As a Principal Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the development of innovative disposable medical devices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Principal Engineer

Location: Plymouth, MN (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

Pay Range: $47.00 - $50.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Manage new 3rd party supplier documentation strategy for peritoneal dialysis disposable sets.
• Lead change controls from initiation through execution.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of design history files.
• Coordinate and communicate efforts of R&D in collaboration with global cross-functional stakeholders.
• Schedule, budget, and lead engineering projects with minimal guidance.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Plastics, Biomedical Engineering or a related field; MS preferred.
• 5 - 8 years of related experience in Class II or Class III disposable medical product development. Single Use disposable experience is highly preferred.
• Experience managing medical device product support activities and change controls.
• Advanced knowledge of FDA Design Controls and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
