$55,000 PER YEAR
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of operations for the PrintShop including scheduling, production, billing, customer service, cost management, and sourcing of materials. This person is also responsible for the coordination of printing through third party vendors when a project is beyond the scope of our internal printing capabilities. The Print Production Manager is responsible for the development of the PrintShop as a department, the members of the team, and the web application. They also are responsible for accurate reporting of the quarterly inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate with the Creative Services Project Manager and team regarding production timelines, execution of design intent, and give advice on effectiveness of customer facing point of purchase displays
Coordinate incoming jobs with the PrintShop team, out going deliveries with the Lead Distribution Driver, and establish completion timelines with the Creative Services Project Manager
Work closely with the Pricing director to ensure that the scanning teams needs are being met in regards to printed materials and supplies
Research available vendors and evaluate the cost of supplies to ensure the best value and pricing
Create ROI’s for new acquisitions that will increase productivity, reduce cost of operations and provide new avenues of marketing
Evaluate third-party printers to find quality resources for external production
Coordinate with third party printers and request bids on projects that are beyond the capabilities of our internal PrintShop
Ensure that equipment is being properly maintained
Develop departmental policies and procedures to ensure quality and timeliness of production
Organize workforce to handle regular production and the occasional overtime rush project
Work with other key management positions in personnel management, which includes hiring and firing of employees and controlling labor costs
Train team members on proper procedures and techniques
Teaches, mentors and educates associates to help them be successful members of the team
Provides honest, direct and constant feedback to associates regarding their performance and areas of improvement; assesses associate performance and influences promotion, discipline, etc.
Promptly addresses and resolves associates’ concerns and/or grievances
Coordinate with the IT department on the development and refinement of the PrintShop Web Application and user experience
Routine Maintenance of the PrintShop application including pricing, inventory management, department and item maintenance.
Creation and completion of print records for billing purposes
Quarterly inventory of all PrintShop products
Conduct store visits to evaluate the effectiveness of current printing solutions and gain valuable feed back from store associates
Assists as needed to ensure the success of the Distribution Center as a whole
Communicates openly and frequently with the Distribution Director, Marketing and Pricing Teams, Sales Directors and Store Directors.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency and maintain focus
A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, email and the internet
An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for the purposes or order tracking, inventory review, and general information use
Solid understanding of proofing and printing processes for professional use
Expert knowledge in RIP software specifically Fiery Command Workstation and Roland Versa Works
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Knowledge of Paper types, sign substrates, digital production printing (both high speed copier and wide format)
Ability to utilize computer systems and standard office equipment
Ability to interpret policies and procedures
Excellent organization and planning skills
Must posses Harmons Forklift Certification
Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with diverse groups of people
Must possess the ability to accept and give constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team
Required to make logical decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable office environment. Also requires sitting for long periods of time, walking and bending and the ability to maneuver objects weighing up to 40 pounds from location to location.
