Job Description

Position Summary

Project Engineer will design, develop documentation and facilitate the manufacturing of quality vertical turbine pumps for the agricultural, municipal, petroleum, mining and industrial markets. This role is foundational within the engineering career path, contributing to projects while gaining technical experience and industry knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, purchase orders, and industry specifications to determine project requirements
  • Develop accurate and complete production documentation to meet project requirements such as: Fabrication, machine and assembly models/drawings; Bills-of-materials; Test requirements
  • Review and approve submittal packages, production documentation, and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams for on-time project completion.
  • Provide engineering support to sales and branch facilities such as:
  • Design reviews and recommendations
  • Handbook calculations
  • Finite element analysis
  • Technical documentation
  • Purchase requisitions
  • Perform, document and interpret testing results.
  • Assist quality and production to address non-conforming material issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Skills)

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required (mechanical preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good software knowledge required to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and computer aided drafting (AutoCAD and/or Inventor preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of fluid dynamics and pump operation
  • Basic knowledge of vibrations preferred
  • E.I.T. certification preferred
