Regulatory Reporting Analyst - Workers Compensation

Do you possess expertise in Workers' Compensation regulations and compliance? Our client, a top-tier property and casualty insurance firm, is seeking someone to gather and submit Policy and Proof of Coverage information to relevant state and national Workers' Compensation bureaus. Your duties would include consistently checking for errors and addressing any feedback from bureaus regarding Unit Statistical Reporting data; you will need to work closely with agency and underwriting teams to quickly correct any discrepancies. It is essential to monitor Workers' Compensation Circulars across all states and inform management about any changes in forms, rates, or regulations. You will collaborate with IT and Underwriting departments to integrate regulatory updates into internal systems for ongoing compliance. Support the Underwriting team with regulatory documents, such as ERM-14 forms and ownership details. Investigate and rectify any discrepancies in DMV data that could affect bureau reporting. Keep yourself updated on legal and regulatory changes impacting Workers' Compensation and communicate significant updates internally. It is important to maintain good relationships with regulatory agencies to foster effective communication and resolve issues promptly. You will also need to manage incoming data requests and notifications from state bodies and regulatory authorities. Collaborating across functions with Accounting, IT, and Claims departments will be necessary to compile data for required reports. Ensure all regulatory reports and assessments are accurately completed and submitted on time to the relevant state agencies and bureaus. Track and systematize invoices received from regulatory entities and keep precise records. Work with Accounting for prompt invoice payments, whether through check issuance or online payment methods, pending management approval. Additionally, assist in monitoring state licensing and producer appointments to confirm adherence to state insurance regulations.
A minimum of three years' experience in Workers' Compensation regulations and reporting is required. A Bachelor's Degree is necessary. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, effective time management, communication, and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is vital.
