Job Description

WuXi AppTec is looking for a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our biophysics team in Natick, MA. This role will provide lab support for both small and large molecule client projects using a range of biophysical techniques.

• Support biophysical binding assays
• Follow SOP’s and perform SPR, TSA, MST, and other biophysical assays as required
• Support instrument maintenance
• Understanding of protein sciences, including binding affinity and kinetics
• Effectively communicate with internal team colleagues and external clients to promote world class services

Experience / Education

• Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, or a lab-based discipline required. 2+ year of work experience is preferred
• Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures and technical proficiency with in vitro based assays
• Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to seamlessly fit into a team-oriented environment

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Basic troubleshooting and planning skills
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication abilities
• In vitro lab skills (pipetting, measuring, following lab protocols)
• Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions.
• Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to biohazards, chemicals
• Must be able to wear appropriate PPE
• Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to Lift 10 lbs. routinely
• Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
• Ability to push/pull 10 lbs. routinely
• Clarity of Vision

The anticipated base pay rate for this role is $21.00 - $28.00/hour
