Retail Assistant Manager – Wilson’s Jewelers (Paola, KS)

Full-Time | In-Store | Tues–Sat (Every Saturday Required)
$13–$20/hr Based on Experience

Wilson’s Jewelers , a long-standing name in fine jewelry in Paola, KS , is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented, and jewelry-loving Assistant Manager to support daily store operations. This position blends sales , customer service , light bookkeeping , and admin tasks — ideal for someone who thrives in a trusted, community-focused retail environment.

️ What You’ll Do

Sales & Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers with purchases, repairs, and custom orders
• Offer knowledgeable advice on fine jewelry, watches, and gift items
• Build lasting relationships through attentive service and follow-up
• Ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued

Store Operations & Administration

• Help with store opening and closing procedures
• Receive and organize merchandise, maintain accurate inventory records
• Update product displays and merchandising throughout the store
• Track orders, process paperwork, and assist with scheduling and filing
• Create and post content for store social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Billing & Light Accounting

• Process sales, repairs, layaways, and returns at the POS
• Assist with daily cash reconciliation
• Perform basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks
• Work with ownership to manage vendor invoices and internal documentation

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail experience required ( jewelry experience a big plus!)
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
• Comfortable using social media to promote products and engage customers
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Trustworthy, discreet, and professional
• Passion for fine jewelry and a genuine interest in helping customers find meaningful pieces
• Able to work every Saturday , plus Tuesday–Friday schedule

• Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday (Saturday required every week)
• Pay: $13–$20 per hour, depending on experience
