Our company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Associate for our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) division. This is an incredible opportunity for a driven, ambitious professional with a solid background in managing key accounts, securing new logos, and expanding business territories. This role requires a strong understanding of the CPG sector, so someone with that experience is highly preferred. This role will require 50% travel to customers across Richmond to Northern Virginia.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and grow an assigned sales territory.
2. Conduct cold calling and prospecting to generate new business and create new logos.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
4. Implement strategies to increase market share and drive sales within the designated territory.
5. Lead generation and pipeline management.
6. Develop and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients.
7. Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies as necessary.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
9. Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably selling into nursing homes, hospitals, and K-12.
3. Proven track record in Territory Management, Account Management, and Direct Store Delivery Sales.
4. Strong relationship building experience.
5. Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
6. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
7. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
11. Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
