CTG is seeking to fill a Salesforce Developer opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 5 months

Overview:
CTG is looking for a skilled Salesforce Developer with experience writing Apex Classes, Triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Experience with the nCino platform is a strong advantage. The selected candidate will play a principal role in designing and developing technical solutions, solving complex problems, and collaborating with other team members to support both day-to-day activities and large-scale projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Complete and oversee systems analysis, design, and development for basic to complex solutions.

• Serve as a key contributor on complex projects, maintaining strong knowledge of supported applications.

• Lead and mentor less experienced developers and coordinate development tasks on projects of varying scope.

• Prepare and manage technical project components, including timelines and resource allocations.

• Participate in full lifecycle development, from technical analysis through to user acceptance testing.

• Review and execute detailed test plans, including data preparation and debugging.

• Evaluate complex interrelationships between systems and applications to ensure optimal functionality.

• Draft and maintain clear and thorough technical/functional documentation.

• Support and maintain application effectiveness and efficiency.

• Recommend and help evaluate new technologies and processes.

• Promote and follow standard development practices.

• Maintain an understanding of business functions, operations, and strategic direction.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit points.

• Foster a diverse and inclusive environment in alignment with M&T Bank values.

Scope of Responsibilities:
This role reports to the Technology Team Lead. The Salesforce Developer works independently on high-level technical phases of development and may manage project-based activities. The position includes monitoring team performance on deliverables, interacting with senior management and vendors, and may represent the department on committees or ad-hoc initiatives.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
While not a direct supervisory role, this position may lead small to large scope projects and provide guidance to junior developers or project team members.

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate degree and at least 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience
  or

  • In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including 5 years systems analysis/application development.

• Strong proficiency in Apex, Triggers, LWC, and Salesforce development.

• Experience with application development tools and platforms.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Proficiency in project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.

• Ability to work on complex, multi-component projects.

• Experience communicating between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Experience with the nCino platform.

• Understanding of M&T Bank’s application framework.

• Subject matter expertise in business domains supported by the application.

• Ability to lead technical aspects of large-scale, cross-functional projects.

• Proactive and action-oriented approach with the ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
