The Role

As Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a strategically vital role in shaping and executing digital marketing programs that drive the success of our authors and titles across major platforms. This position offers the opportunity to lead integrated campaigns for high-profile projects, champion best practices in performance and content marketing, and work at the forefront of industry trends. Collaboration is at the core of this role—you’ll engage with internal marketing teams, authors, and stakeholders to design and implement effective marketing initiatives tailored to diverse audiences. Your leadership and vision will directly contribute to our goals of innovation, audience engagement, and continued growth.


Our preference is to fill this position in Nashville, TN but we are also open to qualified candidates that are located outside of the Nashville area. Travel is required based on the need of the business.


Responsibilities:

Digital Advertising

  • Performance Marketing: Manage end-to-end execution of performance campaigns (Meta, Amazon, LinkedIn, Google, TikTok), achieve ROAS/ROI and campaign targets.
  • Data Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders using data to identify trends and opportunities, including campaign data, audience insights and research, and consumer buying behavior.
  • Discovery: Work to evolve our search strategy beyond traditional keywords and SEO to ensure our titles and authors appear as the "cited authority" in AI-driven answer engines.
  • Reporting: Extract actionable insights, translate complex data into clear narratives for stakeholders.
  • MarTech: Research and identify advertising platforms and/or advertising technology that may be useful to the business

Team Support

  • Maintain weekly and on-demand reports on ad performance, advertising spend, and KPIs for website, email, YouTube, and social media.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of processes to assist Marketing teams with planning and managing cross-channel digital advertising campaigns for frontlist products.
  • Oversee management of metadata projects (SEO, GEO & keyword strategy).
  • Collaborate with internal HCCP teams as well as author teams on shared initiatives.
Qualifications:

Required Experience & Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, online DTC, information/educational marketing, or publishing.
  • Proven experience with PPC advertising platforms: Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising and analytics best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software.
  • Knowledge of AI as a collaborator in marketing workflows.


Preferred Skills:

  • Google Certification in Search, Display, Video, and/or Shopping ads.
  • Experience with Amazon advertising.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress, Shopify) and email management software.
  • Basic design and editing capabilities in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
