Position: Senior Systems Administrator Remote: Westwood/Waltham, MA USA Responsibilities: Provide hands-on IT support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues in both Windows and macOS systems, and escalating complex problems as needed. Build, maintain, and administer on-premise and cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Active Directory, AWS, and other cloud environments. Manage and administer key services such as Office 365, Okta, Slack, MDM solutions, and phone systems. Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and network infrastructure. Proactively monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures. Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role with a strong hands-on approach. Extensive experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and Office 365 administration. Hands-on experience with key SaaS applications like Okta, Slack, and MDM solutions. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and develop new skills. Additional Nice to Have Skills: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft certifications, AWS certifications). Experience with ITIL framework and best practices. Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with cloud infrastructure management.
