Birch Agency is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for a short-term, school-based assignment in Burgaw, North Carolina , supporting a student in an Exceptional Children (EC) classroom .
Position DetailsLocation: Burgaw, NC
Assignment Length: As soon as possible through mid-February
Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM10:00 AM
Setting: EC (Exceptional Children) classroom
Short-term, part-time opportunity
Provide sign language interpretation for a student in a school-based EC setting
Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers
Support the students academic and social participation
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with school policies
Collaborate with school staff as needed
Certification or credentials as a Sign Language Interpreter
Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
Knowledge of EC classroom environments preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to commit to the full assignment schedule
