Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Staff Accountant will make journal entries (for both Association & Foundations)


• Staff Accountant will not do bank reconciliations but will record bank transactions (for both Association & Foundations)


• Staff Accountant will be point of contact for remote deposits from chapters and districts throughout the country
  
  
  
  • This will require client interaction/customer service.
  
  
  • Typically email follow up. Sometimes follow up calls
  
  
  • Volume of deposits ranges from 3-50/day.
  
  


• Staff Accountant will manage PayPal account. Staff Accountant will be only employee assigned to PayPal- will deal directly with the chapters. Staff Accountant will process weekly downloads of transactions. Typically, there are several hundred PayPal transactions

Requirements:

• Ideally 3+ years accounting experience


• Understanding of US GAAP


• Degree is a plus but not required


• Excel - should be familiar with VLOOKUP's
