Job Description

Performs engineering work in a variety of settings. Originates complex ideas or projects and contributes to existing projects. Plans, conducts and directs research and/or development work with broad latitude on complex projects. Provides technical inspiration, leadership, and consultation to internal and external customers.

Job Responsibilities

1. Initiates, evaluates progress and presents results of projects
2. Provides technical inspiration, leadership, and consultation to professional co-workers
3. Analyzes and develops solutions to engineering problems.
4. Develops and applies engineering standards and procedures and provides advice on issues within the engineering field
5. Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
6. Performs other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field

Experience Requirements

• Ten years of experience in an engineering role
• Recognized as an expert in a particular field of specialization, or have extensive knowledge of all design and development aspects for a particular Briggs & Stratton product or manufacturing process such as internal combustion engines
