Stage Manager for Witness Immersive’s “The Double” Expires: April 18, 2025 Job Description An immersive play loosely inspired by Dostoevsky’s The Double, staged site-specifically in an office space. The story of a man who has his life gradually stolen by a mysterious doppelganger, set in a Seattle tech office with shades of Severance. The audience sits at desks and watches dancers perform behind conference room glass, while listening to dueling monologues from the lead characters. You can learn more about the company’s past work at Role: Stage Manager We’re looking for a stage manager for rehearsals and performances, who’s comfortable working site-specifically with a small crew. Standard SM duties are part and parcel here, but our ideal collaborator is someone who understands and has experience with immersive work outside of a theatrical setting, and can take a holistic approach to the needs of the production, which may include some audience management and practical cueing. Dates: 6/9/25 - 8/3/25 (extension thru 8/23) Rehearsals begin June 9th. Tech week begins June 22nd with performances beginning June 27th. An initial 6-week run is planned with a possible extension through August 23rd dependent on ticket sales. A schedule of 4-5 performances/week varies and is usually concentrated on a Thu-Sun schedule. Show duration is estimated at 60-70 minutes. Compensation: $770/week during rehearsals including tech week, moving to a show rate of $110/show when performances begin, paid as a W-2 employee. This show is not produced on any union contract. Location: LIT Immersive, 1000 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134 LIT Immersive is a performance venue across from Lumen Field.
