Job Description

The Travel Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

EDUCATION:

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience
• Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• CST-Certified Surgical Technologist
• Cardiac, Hepatobiliary, Spine, Robotic, Transplants, Ophthalmology, Vascular experience preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• Two (2) years scrubbing experience preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Requires communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Requires flexibility to accommodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorities.
• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Included
