Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Maternal Fetal Obstetric position requiring EFM training and at least 2 years of obstetric experience.

Responsibilities

• Work is in a Maternal Fetal Diagnostic Center in a hospital setting
• Unit has 8 exam rooms with standard ultrasound tables, supporting an average daily caseload of 40 patients
• Uses 7 ultrasound machines and 4 fetal monitors; computerized charting through Epic is required
• Schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts per week, starting at 07:30 or 08:00, including weekend and holiday rotation
• No floating to other units or departments
• Primary responsibilities include conducting focused obstetrical assessments, obtaining medical and family histories, performing blood draws and injections, and providing patient education
• Collaboration with sonographers and providers is an integral part of the role
• Orientation period of 2-3 weeks is provided
• No specific color required for scrub attire
• Local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Participation in weekend and holiday rotations is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) training is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years recent obstetric nursing experience
