Job Title: Travel Tech – Medical Technologist (5P–5:30A) Facility: Georgetown Community Hospital Location: Georgetown, KY Shift: Evening/Night, 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview: Georgetown Community Hospital is seeking a Travel Medical Technologist to join the laboratory team. The Med Tech will perform diagnostic testing and analysis to support patient care across multiple departments. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during evening and overnight hours.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood banking.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
• Analyze test results and report findings promptly to physicians and clinical staff.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Document all procedures and maintain accurate records in the laboratory information system.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload during evening/night shifts.
